The Find Asset Team

The people who research, write and review every guide in our resource library — practitioners, engineers and writers who work with asset management every day.

Every article on Find Asset is written and edited by The Find Asset Team — a small group based in Accra, Ghana, made up of the same people who build the Find Asset platform and support the organisations that use it. We are not a content farm and we do not publish for the sake of publishing. We write about asset management because we work in it: registering equipment, running audits, printing barcode and RFID labels, reconciling registers against reality, and helping finance and facilities teams pass their audits.

Where our experience comes from

Our writing is grounded in day-to-day practice rather than theory. Between us, the team has hands-on experience across the situations our readers actually face:

How we research and write

Asset management sounds dry until an auditor asks you to physically produce a generator that vanished eighteen months ago. Our goal with every guide is to be genuinely useful to the person facing that moment — clear, specific and honest about trade-offs, not padded to hit a word count. We would rather publish one article that solves a real problem than ten that repeat what everyone else already says.

Our editorial standards

  • Grounded in practice. Every guide draws on real asset-management work, not recycled summaries of other articles.
  • Reviewed before publishing. A member of the team reads each article for accuracy and clarity before it goes live — nothing is published unread.
  • Kept current. When practice, tools or regulations change, we go back and update the affected guides rather than leaving stale advice online.
  • Written for the reader, not the algorithm. We optimise for whether a facilities officer, finance lead or storekeeper can actually use the advice.
  • Corrections welcome. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it. You can reach us any time at support@findassetpro.com.

What we write about

Our resource library covers the full life of an asset — from registering and tagging it, through tracking, auditing and maintaining it, to depreciating and finally disposing of it. Alongside the how-to guides we publish industry-specific advice for schools, hospitals, hotels, NGOs and the public sector, plus plain-English explainers on barcodes, RFID and the standards that sit behind them.

If any of it helps you run a tighter, more trustworthy asset register, it has done its job.
