Using the generator
Type your data and the barcode renders live. Switch to the Batch tab to generate many at once — paste a list (one value per line) or build a serial range like FA-00001 to FA-00500, then download the whole sheet as one image or print it. Use the Formatting panel to change colours, size and the quiet-zone margin, and toggle the human-readable text.
Choosing a barcode type
- Code 128 — the default for asset tracking: compact, alphanumeric, high density.
- Code 39 — older but universally supported; uppercase letters and digits.
- EAN-13 / EAN-8 / UPC-A — retail product codes (need an exact digit count).
- ITF-14 — shipping and carton codes.
- Codabar — libraries, blood banks and logistics.

Make sure it scans
Most failures come down to four things: size (keep a 1-D barcode at least ~2 cm wide), quiet zone (clear space around the code), contrast (dark bars on a light background — never light-on-dark) and print quality.
