What the columns mean
- Asset ID — a unique, permanent code that matches the physical tag on the item (e.g. FA-000123). The backbone of the whole register.
- Asset Name, Category, Manufacturer, Model, Serial Number — what it is and how to identify it.
- Location, Department, Assigned To — where it lives and who is accountable right now.
- Purchase Date, Purchase Cost, Supplier — the basis for depreciation, warranty and audits.
- Warranty Expiry, Condition, Status, Notes — what keeps the asset serviceable and accounted for.
